Gifts of the Holy Spirit Collage
For the Gift of Wisdom I chose the picture that has a red background and says wisdom across the top. This picture quotes Matthew 7:7 which says "Ask and you will be given, seek and you will find. . . ". this quote phrases the Gift of Wisdom perfectly because it sparks the desire for God's knowledge and glory.
For the Gift of Understanding I chose the picture of a person's bald head surrounded by a picture of outer space and the universe. This picture represents the Gift of Understanding because the person is clearly thinking about universal things and trying to solve major mysteries that God has created for us to solve with the help of the Holy Spirit.
For the Gift of Counsel I chose a picture that has a mother looking figure holding on to two children and one of the children being tugged on by the devil. This picture represents the Gift of Counsel because the mother figure is trying to protect and warn her children about the dangers with the devil and the child is trying to stay with their mother who they love.
The picture of Mother Teresa with a small child who looks poor and emancipated stands for the Gift of Fortitude. Mother Teresa committing a good deed is a good example of the Gift of Fortitude because she has the strength from the Holy Spirit to do good in the name of the Lord.
For the Gift of Knowledge I chose a picture of the ocean with the sun shinning through the clouds and casting a light around the entire ocean. This could represent the Gift of Knowledge because the sun light could represent all of God's will and it is shining everywhere.
I chose two pictures for the picture Gift of Piety. One picture is a small baby hand holding a larger male hand. This picture can signify the Gift of Piety because it shows the love for God between a small child and a father. In this example God would be the father and they small child's hand would be the person enlightened by the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit. The second picture is a picture of hands cupping a small red heart that has a ban-aid over it. This could also be used for the Gift of Piety because it shows that the heart has been reformed to follow God's path because it used to sin but now it is being healed by God and consistently obeys the Lord.
For the Gift of Fear of the Lord I chose a picture of an apple with a bite out of it and a serpent intertwined around the apple. This could be Fear of the Lord because every good Christian knows the story of Adam and Eve and how they created original sin by eating the devil's apple. The story that goes along with this picture reminds Christians of God's vengeance and makes them scared to turn against God as Adam and Eve did.
